About
Geelong
Elite Taekwondo Geelong, is run by 6th Dan Manni. With over 40 years experience in Taekwondo, Manni first opened clubs in Melbourne before moving to Geelong 10 years ago.
Elite Taekwondo Geelong started from humble beginnings of just 6 students, after which, a steady growth to over 200 members occurred with many reaching the rank of Black Belt over the years.

Our Geelong club has produced many State and National level athletes as well as pushing steadily towards a presence at the International level of competition.

We pride ourselves in teaching not only fighting skills, but the fundamentals of self-defence as well as the core of Taekwondo in the traditional form of patterns.
Head Instructor
Manni Kallipolitis, is the Head Instructor for all of Elite Taekwondo. Manni started training at age 7 and opened his first club in Melbourne, where he grew up. Manni has reached his 6th Dan in Taekwondo, achieving the rank of Master.

His first club was open once per week for only 6 students, however, throughout the years with his hard work and dedication to Taekwondo, he has managed to build a community of over 200 students.

Manni has been involved in the security industry for over 25 years and as a result has seen a number of serious situations and dealt with conflict through his positions. The self-defence taught at Elite Taekwondo is straight from real life situations and through his own experiences in these techniques.

Elite Taekwondo offers many different classes, some of those being specifically for children as young as 3 years old! We focus on improving your child's base motor skills, attention, respect and most of all, we provide a fun activity that they can look forward to! Our clubs provide a fun and safe environment where they can make life-long friendships and develop skills that will aid them in every aspect of life.

Anyone and everyone! Our classes are tailored to who attends on the day and we have programs that, over an extended period of time, create improvement in every aspect of Taekwondo, fitness, self-confidence and leadership skills.

Never! We find the opposite happens as we focus on building self-confidence and respect for themselves and others. We provide a positive environment and underline the necessity of non-violence as a first option in all scenarios.

How many times a week should I train?
We recommend 2 to 3 classes per week, however, we understand that life can be busy. Consistency is key for developing any form of skills from the workplace to school and even Taekwondo. Attending a full term will allow you to develop the initial foundation of Taekwondo and further training is key to sculpting the Taekwondo athlete that you will become.

Becoming a black belt is an incredible achievement. It is a journey that takes time, patience, commitment and mental strength. Each student's journey is different and generally takes between 3 to 5 years. Preparation for your Black Belt is a long and difficult experience, but the end goal is well worth it.

What are the benefits of Taekwondo training?
Taekwondo is a martial art which is entirely individual in the skills you can gain along the way. The self-discipline, confidence and respect that you develop are endless. Physically, Taekwondo combines cardiovascular training, such as sprinting and general fitness, with muscle building activities as well.
